Reviewing!


Reported Speech 

>>Pay attention to the tense change in the sentences.

Statements:-"It was amazing!"Said Denise ---Denise said that It had been amazing.
                       -"Fame is the only thing I lived for"Mark told us ---Mark told us that fame was the only thing he lived for.

Questions:-"Do you have a job?"We asked him ---We asked him if/Whether he had a job. 
                     -"What do you do?"We asked them ---We asked them what they did.

       **(In these sentences,you must remember that in the indirect form we have subject+verb)

Orders and requests:-"Get out!" ---He ordered them to get out.
                                        -"Don't watch my audition" ---Mark told us not to watch his audition.
                                        -"Can you help me?" ---The girl asked me to help her.

       **(There aren't any change of tenses).

Suggestions:-"Why don't we wait outside?"Mark suggested.---Mark suggested that we wait outside.
                                                                                                          ---Mark suggested waiting outside.
      
      **(There aren't any change of tenses).
      **(You can use any of the two phrases because they will mean the same thing in the end)

We won't put more exercises about Reported Speech because the last day,Gema gave us a photocopies with a lot of sentences that we must do. :D

REPORTED SPEECH

Hello people!! How are you? :)

The last week , the teacher explained THE REPORTED SPEECH, here is it our schemes:
         
                                Here we have a symple example:

Jhon said : " I am hungry" (DIRECT) --> Jhon said that he was hungry (INDIRECT)

We have to change the tense of the verb. Here we have all the changes:


Others changes:
*Can-->COULD
*May---->MIGHT
*Must/Have to--->MUST/HAD TO


ATENCIÓN:SHOULD, COULD, WOULD, MIGHT, OUGHT TO , USED-->NO CAMBIAN

The last week of January , we started the new term , THE REPORTED SPEECH, that we will explain in the next entrance. As well , more vocabulary to study , here is it:

**Break into : Entrar /Dar salto a la fama

**Come out: Salir/ Salir al mercado

**Make up: Compensar

**Take off: Despegar/ Quitarse ropa

**Turn down: Rechazar

**Take up: Empezar un hobbie
